1. What This Platform Is

WC2026 Predictor is a free, non-commercial prediction game built for friends and family around the FIFA World Cup 2026. It is not affiliated with FIFA or any football organization.

2. Who Can Join

This platform is invite-only. You need an invite from an existing member or from Moe (the founder) to create an account.

3. Your Nickname

Your nickname is visible to all users on the leaderboard. Choose something appropriate. Nicknames that are offensive, harassing, or impersonating another person will be removed without notice.

4. Conduct

This is a family-friendly platform. Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour toward other users is not tolerated and will result in account removal. We rely on each member to keep this space fun and respectful.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for the email address you register with and for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account with others.

6. No Commercial Use

This platform is built for fun, not profit. You may not use it for any commercial purpose. Prizes, if any, are symbolic.

1. What We Collect

We collect only what is needed to run the platform:

• Email address — required to create your account
• Nickname — chosen by you, shown publicly on the leaderboard
• Timezone — to show match kick-off times in your local time
• Favourite team — shown as a flag next to your name

We do not collect: date of birth, phone number, payment information, photos, location, or any other sensitive personal data.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Email: to send your account verification, a welcome message, and invite emails you explicitly request. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters.
• Nickname + timezone + favourite team: to personalise your experience on the platform.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your email address is never shown to other users.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. If you joined via an invite link, an additional referral cookie (7-day expiry) may be set. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

5. Data Retention

Your data is stored for the duration of the World Cup 2026 tournament. After the tournament, data may be archived or deleted. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting Moe.

6. Donations

If you choose to support the platform with a donation, these payments are processed securely through Stripe, a certified and legitimate third-party payment platform. We do not store or have access to your credit card details. You can review Stripe's Privacy Policy for more information on how they handle your payment data.
